Alliance for the Lost Boys of Sudan
When a group of Lost Boys arrived in Jacksonville in 2000, Pauline and her family joined a team of others in the community to embrace and help these young men settle into their new lives in Jacksonville. Many of the boys were still teenagers and were in need of basic necessities such as clothing, housing and everyday items. Clothing drives and fundraisers became a priority, and Pauline soon joined the local foundation as a board member. Several of the boys have now gone on to college and continue to inspire us.
